WBMCC issues Circular for Round 1 PG medical candidates, Details
Kolkata: Through a notice, the Department of Health and Family Welfare, West Bengal has released Urgent Circular for Round 1 Admission in WBPG Medical 2021.
The provisional allotment result of Round 1 for NEET PG 2021 qualified candidates in WB PG Medical 2021 counseling has been published already in the counselling website http://wbmec.nic.in
The candidates who wish to take admission in the allotted college have to report physically with required original documents as stated in notice HEFW-23099/449/2021/M/66 dated 25.01.2022 along with one set of self attested documents and college requisite fee within stipulated time to secure admission. Such candidate has to undergo prior document verification at the allotted college and only after successful verification such candidate shall be allowed admission.
The COVID-19 protocol shall have to be strictly followed by the allotted candidates and college authority. Temperature checking by thermal gun at the entry gate shall be deployed. Staff and candidates shall compulsorily wear mask. Hand sanitization facility shall be made available at the admission and document verification premises. Liquid hand soaps in washrooms should be made available. If the candidate is symptomatic/Covid-19 positive, then he/she cannot be allowed to physically report for document verification and admission. He/she however can send authorized relative/guardian (asymptomatic) to deposit documents and fee for completion of admission process during scheduled time.
If college authority is satisfied with the credentials of the candidate then admission shall be granted via NIC portal shared with colleges and the said admission slip generated online shall be shared with the candidate physically after due authentication.
After submitting the original documents to the colleges the candidate gets a slip stating the essential documents that are submitted to the college. All the original documents as stated above in the notice have to be submitted to college authority except the age proof and caste certificate.
The candidate gets back such documents after showing such original slip only in up gradation during counseling/end of the course tenure/resignation after clearing necessary dues with the college authority as applicable.
During admission candidate has to state willingness for subsequent round if any. If candidate does not provide willingness for subsequent round during admission, then he/she cannot participate further in such round 2.
The change of willingness once submitted cannot be altered later.
The last date for seat surrender for candidates admitted in Round 1 (free exit) is 08.02.2022 till 4 PM as per server time.
Round 2 and Ontine Mop Up shail be fresh choice filling for all eligible candidates.
If a candidate provides willingness for round 2 and then does not fill fresh choice in such round, then the candidate retains the admitted seat of round 1.
If the candidate provides willingness for round 2 and fills choice in round 2 but does not get any fresh allotment as per his/her rank and choice. then earlier round | admitted seat is retained.
There shall be no facitity for scat surrender in Round 2 or later. Surrendered candidate cannot participate in counseling any further.
If a candidate provides willingness for round 2 and fills choice in round 2 and gets fresh allotment, then earlier round | seat is automatically cancelled. Then candidate has to take back documents from the earlier college and take online release letter and get admitted in newly alloted institute within stipulated time.
If any allotted candidate does not report to allotted college in round 2, still can go to mop ap round by again paying counseling fee and register afresh. They are not allowed to change earlier enrolled information though.
Fresh enrollment. fee payment, registration facility also available for candidates in Round 2 and online mop up if they are NEET PG 2021 qualified and eligible for WB PG Medical 2021 counseling (who have otherwise not done so in earlier round/s due to any cause.
If SC/ST/(OBC/OBCA/OBCB/EWS candidate is allotted in UR (unreserved) seat and not produce valid certificate, then the caste status shall be edited to UR for counselling purpose by the allotted institute and the admission letter shall be generated for this round and database will be updated and the candidate shall be considered in next round/s as UR only. This situation is only possible in case of caste candidates obtained above or equal to 50 percentile marks in NEET PG 2021 exam.
If SC/ST/OBC/OBCA/OBCB/EWS candidate is allotted in respective caste/quota seat and not produce valid certificate, then caste status shall be edited to UR for counselling purpose by the allotted institute and then cancellation order of seat for this round shall be generated and database will be updated and candidate shall be considered as UR in next round only if the said candidate has obtained UR above or equal to 50 percentile marks in NEET PG 2021 exam.
If PC (Physically Challenged) candidate is allotted in non PC seat and not produce valid certificate, then the PC status shall be changed to respective non PC category and admission letter shali be generated and database will be updated and the candidate shall be considered in next round as Non PC only as per eligibility.
If PC candidate is allotted a PC seat and not produce valid certificate, then PC status shall be changed to respective non PC category and cancellation order of such allotted seat for this round shall be generated and database will be updated and candidate shall be considered as Non PC in next round only as per eligibility.
In view of preventing any seat wastage, the step one verification at Swasthya Bhavan of candidates who have registered as in-service or NRI candidates is hereby made mandatory from Round 2 onwards. The successfully verified candidate is at liberty to go for admission in allotted seat or they may remain non reported in that round as per their merry wish. They can come for subsequent round as stated above if eligible as per extant provisions. However, if they do not attend the mandatory step one verification at Swasthya Bhavan after allotment in a particular round within stipulated time with all required original credentials in support of their claim of such seats, they shall be considered as in-eligible and their claim shall be rejected on ground of non reporting in order to prevent wastage of seats. Such in eligible candidate shall be out of the counselling process.
If any kind of suppression of facts/ mis-information/falsification/fabricated information furnished by candidate detected at any stage; will lead to cancellation of the candidature forthwith.
