WBUHS notifies on PhD course work, Details
West Bengal: The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) has notified about the PhD course work.
The course work will be conducted for 5 hours every Saturday, over a period of 8 Saturdays. The registration process will be completed within 1st week of July 2022. Tentatively the course starts on 10th July 2022 and will be completed in 8-9 weeks.
A the time of admission, the candidates will have to pay a course fee of Rs 10000, which is non-refundable. WBUHS has requested the candidates who are willing to register for PhD with WBUHS undertake the PhD course work of this university only. However, if the candidates have already done PhD coursework at another UGC recognized university or institute, they can appear in the exit examination after paying the necessary fees. This is subject to prior approval from the university.
An offline exit exam will be taken on completion of the course. As per WBUHS, to be eligible for the exit exam, candidates must have an attendance of at least 8o%. The candidates will have to score at least 55% in the exam to complete the course. They will have to pay Rs 5000 non-refundable examination when they enrol for the exit examination.
Further, it has been shared that time table for the classes, and potential resource persons has been discussed, and a rough draft has been made. The final draft will be finalized in due course.
The West Bengal University of Health Sciences came into existence on 1st January. From 2003 the university took up the responsibility of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Post-doctoral courses, including the Ph. D program in Modern System of Medicine, Homoeopathic System of Medicine, Ayurvedic System of Medicine, Unani System of Medicine, Nursing Education, Pharmacy Education, Dental Education, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Education on other paramedical courses like Occupational Therapy and Prosthetics-Orthotics in the state of West Bengal.
