AFMC Pune to Host ARMEDiCON 2025 from January 28-30
Mumbai: The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, is hosting ARMEDiCON 2025, the 73rd Annual Armed Forces Medical Conference, scheduled to take place from 28th to 30th January 2025. This distinguished event is the only multi-specialty conference of its kind in the country, serving as the largest platform for interaction and knowledge exchange among Medical, Dental, and Nursing professionals of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
ARMEDiCON 2025 underscores the commitment of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) to pioneering institutional, multicentric, and collaborative research. The conference will showcase cutting-edge advancements and innovations, benefitting not just the Armed Forces but also the wider civilian healthcare community.
Under the esteemed patronage of Lt Gen Sandeep Thareja, SM, VSM**, Director and Commandant of AFMC Pune, the three-day event will address a spectrum of critical healthcare challenges and opportunities. The conference will feature an array of enlightening discussions, workshops, and presentations, driving forward the vision of excellence in medical research and healthcare delivery in the Armed Forces.
Surg VAdm Arti Sarin, AVSM, VSM, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), will grace the event as the Chief Guest.
The highlight of the inaugural session will be a keynote address by Lt Gen Madhuri Kanitkar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd), Honorable Vice Chancellor of MUHS, Nashik, and an illustrious alumna of AFMC Pune.
Renowned healthcare experts and academicians will enrich the conference through their thought-provoking talks, including:

ARMEDiCON 2025 will not only be a forum for research and academic policy deliberations, but will also facilitate meetings of various core committees, including the Armed Forces Medical Academic Committee (AFMAC), MJAFI Governing Council, and AFMC Management Committee, further strengthening AFMS’s academic and operational framework.
Over the years, the conference has evolved into a pivotal platform for the planning, evaluation, and implementation of medical research and healthcare innovations. While its primary focus addresses the unique healthcare challenges of the Armed Forces, the conference’s contributions extend far beyond, offering solutions and insights that benefit the larger healthcare ecosystem.
Organized under the guidance of Maj Gen Giriraj Singh, Dean & Deputy Commandant, AFMC, ARMEDiCON 2025 is poised to become a pivotal milestone in revolutionizing healthcare research and delivery, not only within the Armed Forces but across the entire nation.
