AP Govt, NatHealth join hands to work in healthcare sector
Both parties have decided to work towards comprehensive cancer prevention, early & complete diagnosis, treatment, and care program and implementation strategy - including care pathways and digitisation of the same - leading to sustainable implementation and positive health outcomes.
Vijayawada: With an aim to boost the health sector in the state, the state government and NatHealth, the premier healthcare ecosystem association of India have joined hands to work together to provide patients with the top healthcare facilities.
A meeting was held on Monday between Principal Secretary (Health, Medical & Family Welfare) MT Krishna Babu, Naveen Kumar, Special Secretary, (Health, Medical & Family Welfare), and other members of NatHealth in this regard.
Both parties have decided to work towards comprehensive cancer prevention, early & complete diagnosis, treatment, and care program and implementation strategy - including care pathways and digitisation of the same - leading to sustainable implementation and positive health outcomes.

Besides, they decided on the suitable skills development and training of the healthcare professionals across the government sector and levels to ensure adaptation of state-of-the-art technologies, and processes leading to better health outcomes.
Moreover, a joint conference will be held in Vijayawada on the topic of 'Positively Impacting & Accelerating Healthcare Outcomes'. The government along with the members of NatHealth will participate in the conference.
The meeting also decided to host a Joint Roadshow at Tirupati to increase awareness, get the local area stakeholders involved in the healthcare ecosystem and encourage Tirupati to become an advanced healthcare hub.
Srikanth Srinivasan, co-chair, South Chapter & Head of Services, GE Healthcare; Mansi Wadhwa, co-chair, South Chapter, Head of Growth Programs, India Medtronic Pvt Ltd; and Subrahmanyan Yadavalli, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Telangana & AP, visited the AP secretariat at Velagapudi and Naveen Kumar, Special Secretary, Health Medical and Family Welfare were present on this occasion, reports The Hindu.
NatHealth is an initiative of the Federation to collaborate with sectoral players and highlight and strategize on key focus areas of the healthcare industry. It is a platform for all stakeholders in healthcare, to gather on a single platform and have a unified voice.
