AP Medical Professionals demand Fair pay, Cadre Allocation in NTR Vaidya seva Trust
Amaravati: Several medical professionals working as Vaidyamitras and Team Leaders under the Dr NTR Vaidyaseva Trust are calling for urgent intervention to address grievances related to cadre allotment, fair pay, and career progression.
The employees, who were recruited in 2016 under Government Order (GO) RI No. 28, have appealed to Human Resource Development and IT Minister Nara Lokesh to address their concerns.

In their formal appeal, the medical professionals have included specific demands like cadre allotment, career progression, a minimum time-scale policy to ensure fair pay and recognition, implementation of HR policies and many others.
Despite holding advanced qualifications such as Pharm.D, B.Sc Nursing, and M.Sc Medical Lab Technology (MLT), the professionals claimed to be categorized as non-technical staff. They have described their consolidated monthly salary of Rs 15,000 as "inadequate and unfair" since they handle strong responsibilities.
Vaidyamithra is the first point of contact for the patients visiting the hospitals and will help them through their treatment journey starting from patient registration to treatment and discharge to follow-up. They play crucial roles in hospital administration, data processing, and vigilance to ensure the effective implementation of health schemes. However, they pointed out the lack of cadre allotment, which has left them with no opportunities for career growth.
Speaking to TNIE, K Jakaraiah, vice president of the Dr NTR Vaidyaseva Trust said, “We are not asking for luxuries; we are asking for justice. We want recognition for our qualifications, implementation of a minimum time scale, and proper HR policies."
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) has announced an indefinite strike across all public healthcare facilities of the state, starting from January 20th. The action comes in response to the failure to fulfil time-bound commitments related to the rollout of a security framework and the reinstatement of the Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) scheme.
