Community Health Officer ends life by jumping into Narmada River

CHO Ends Life in the Narmada River
Barwani: In a tragic incident, a woman working as a Community Health Officer (CHO) allegedly ended her life by jumping into the Narmada river from the 301-foot-high bridge in Chhoti Kasrawad village of Barwani district.
According to news reports, the incident took place around 9:30 AM on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as a resident of Kalyanpura village, reportedly had an argument with her husband, a paediatrician, over a mangalsutra earlier that morning. Following the dispute, she left home on her scooter and headed towards the Narmada bridge, where she parked her vehicle and jumped into the river.
Eyewitnesses immediately alerted nearby boatmen and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team stationed near the bridge. Rescuers managed to pull her from the river and rushed her to the hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.
