The deceased has been identified as a native of Berhampur in Ganjam district.
He was working at the Emergency and Trauma Care Department of the Apollo Hospital. He was staying near the Ravi Talkies area in Bhubaneswar.

His car first crashed into the flyover and then hit the electric pole. Due to the high speed, the car mangled and a large part of the car's roof was torn off in the accident. Unfortunately, the severity of the crash made it impossible for the doctor to survive.
“We were informed about the accident just 10 minutes after he had spoken to his brother over the phone. A tyre of the car fell into a ditch on the road, leading to the accident. His engagement was to be held on December 10 and his marriage was fixed for February 28,” Prashant Sahu, a relative, informed the Odisha bytes.
“Locals rushed him to Apollo Hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead,” said P. Shyam Sundar Rao, IIC Laxmisagar police station.
His body was handed over to family members after post-mortem on Sunday.
A case has been registered in connection with the case and an investigation is underway.
