31-year-old Bengaluru Doctor goes missing on Himalayan expedition
Bengaluru: A 31-year-old doctor working at Manipal hospital has been reported missing for a long time. Dr S Chandramohan was last reported to have gone to Nepal for a trek to the Himalayas on his own.
A complaint has been filed at the High Grounds station in the city in connection with this. The doctor was a resident of Vasanthanagar and he had been working at the Manipal Hospital located on Sarjapur Road for many years, reports Hans India.

The complaint was filed by the father of the doctor, who alleged that his son was missing. Based on that, the police had registered an FIR and the investigation is ongoing, said the police.
The senior officials have contacted the Nepal police and the information has been passed on. The local police are reported to be searching for the doctor. The parents and siblings of the doctor have also reached Nepal to look for him. the police official said that they would send a team of policemen from Bengaluru if needed.
The doctor, who was scheduled to fly to the Himalayas, flew from Bengaluru to Kathmandu, Nepal on May 3. The police said that the doctor had told his parents about it.
The doctor had visited some places in Nepal and had stayed at the Everest Base Camp to go to the Himalayas. He had also sent a photo and a message through Whatsapp on the morning of May 20. However, the doctor's phone had remained switched off after that.
His parents attempted to call him repeatedly but were unable to reach him despite their repeated efforts, reports Hans India. The police said that the doctor had gone to Nepal on his own, and there are chances of him trekking solo to the Himalayas, therefore finding him is a challenge.
The police said that they are suspicious that the doctor had gone to the Himalayas because of his devotion to God.
