32 year old Indian-origin dentist dies after sudden collapse at Sharjah home

Sharjah: A 32-year-old Indian-origin dentist and mother of two died after reportedly suddenly collapsing at her home in the UAE's Sharjah on Monday morning. The cause of death has not yet been established.

The woman was living with her husband and two young children in the Al Qasimia area of Sharjah. According to her family, she had taken a break from her dentistry career to look after her children.

According to Gulf News, her husband, who works as a teacher, was away at work when the incident occurred. A relative who was staying at the same residence was also at home at the time.

According to the family, the relative had dropped her son to school and returned to sleep. The relative was later alerted by the sound of one of the children crying and went to check on the situation.

It was then that she found the dentist collapsed in the kitchen and immediately attempted to revive her by performing CPR while an ambulance was called.

The woman was subsequently taken to a private hospital in Sharjah. Despite efforts to revive her, doctors could not save her.

Her husband, who travelled from Saudi Arabia to the UAE after learning about her death, said that she had appeared to be in good health and had no known underlying medical condition.

The circumstances leading to her sudden collapse remain unclear. The family is awaiting the formal death notification and other required procedures, following which her remains are expected to be repatriated to her hometown in Kerala, reports Gulf News.

Authorities have yet to establish the medical cause of death, and further details are awaited.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that a woman doctor from the Department of Paediatrics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Vijaypur was found dead inside her car in Jammu’s Rajinder Nagar area, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
