35-year-old Anaesthesiologist killed in road accident

Fatal Crash Claims Life of Karauli Doctor
Karauli: In a tragic incident, a young doctor working in the Anaesthesia Department at Karauli Medical College lost her life in a fatal road accident on Wednesday night when a speeding trolley struck her scooter and ran over her, reportedly killing her on the spot.
The incident occurred around 8:15 PM near the Collectorate, right in front of St. John’s School.
The victim, a 35-year-old Assistant Professor in the Anaesthesia Department at Karauli Medical College, was originally from Jaipur. She had been married for five years to a fellow medical professional who is currently posted in Ludhiana, Punjab. The couple has a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

According to the news reports, she was riding her scooter towards the college when the trolley, reportedly speeding, rammed into her from behind. The impact flung her onto the road, and one of the trolley’s wheels tragically crushed her head. She died instantly.
Hospital outpost in charge, Ishwar Singh, confirmed the sequence of events and added that the driver abandoned the vehicle immediately after the accident. The police arrested the accused and seized the trolley later that night.

According to TV9 Bharatvarsh, after the incident, there was chaos at the spot. People present nearby rushed to help, but by then it was too late. On receiving the information, the hospital outpost police reached the spot and kept the body in the mortuary of the district hospital. The police then informed the family of the deceased. The family is in shock after hearing the news of their daughter's death.
Karauli Medical College and the medical fraternity expressed deep grief, describing Dr. Deeksha as a skilled, dedicated, and sociable colleague. Her death, colleagues said, was an irreparable loss to the institution and the profession. Police are investigating the incident further, reports the Bhaskar English.
