Aurangabad doctor couple booked for illegal abortion, absconding
Aurangabad: In a shocking incident, a doctor couple in Chittegaon, Aurangabad, has been booked for allegedly carrying out an illegal abortion on a married woman. The condition of the woman is critical and she is undergoing treatment at a Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Aurangabad.
A repeat of the illegal abortion case in Parli, which shook conscience of the state in 2012, has come to light in Aurangabad.
After getting information about this, the police and the health department conducted a raid on the doctor's hospital and found various abortion materials. In fact, many medicines were found that have been banned by the government. However, the doctor couple is absconding.

According to the information received from the police, the health department has raided a women's hospital in Chitegaon in Paithan taluka of Aurangabad.
A married woman was aborted by a doctor husband and wife in this hospital which was known as Aurangabad Women's Hospital.
Shockingly, the condition of the concerned woman is critical and she is undergoing treatment in a government hospital in Aurangabad city.
According to the police, the duo doctors had been running the hospital for the past three or four years, conducting illegal abortions on innocent pregnant women.
The shocking incident took place on January 2 when the duo conducted an abortion on a woman. Following this, the woman's condition began to deteriorate and she was bleeding excessively due to which she was taken to another private hospital for treatment. However, when the woman's condition remained critical, the doctor concerned sent her to GMCH, Navrastra reports.
A case was registered at the police station against the couple under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Investigation is underway to nab the duo soon.
