Ayurveda doctor's 14-year-old daughter killed in Noida, Rs 25 lakh looted
Noida: In a shocking incident, an Ayurveda doctor's 14-year-old daughter who was alone in her house was found murdered on Tuesday and around Rs 25 lakh cash was looted following which the police arrested the accused in connection with the case.
The accused is currently under treatment at a government hospital for a leg injury which was caused in an altercation with the police. The accused instead of cooperating with the police officers tried to run away by snatching the pistol of a policeman.
In an attempt to stop the accused from escaping, he was shot in his leg by policemen in retaliation, resulting in a bullet injury. The police at Ecotech-3 station arrested the accused under sections 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) and 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

During the interrogation, the accused admitted that he strangled his own friend’s daughter and ran away after looting the money and other valuables kept in the house.
"After arresting the accused, we took him to his house in Sector-82, where we recovered Rs 7.58 lakh and some jewellery. After the recovery, when the police along with the accused reached Kulesara Pusta, the accused asked to stop the vehicle on the pretext of urinating. He tried to escape by snatching the government pistol from a policeman who accompanied him,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Anil Kumar Yadav informed The Indian Express.
The incident took place in the Purana Sutiyana area under Ecotech 3 police station limits when the girl’s father who is an Ayurveda doctor, had gone to his clinic in Sector 93 on Tuesday, around 11 am along with his wife and two younger sons, they said.
“When they returned home around 1.30 pm, they found the victim lying on the bed with a cloth tied around her neck and some blood oozing out from her mouth. The child was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive,” said Yadav.
The doctor, a native of Meerut district, told police that he recently sold a property which fetched him around Rs 23.50 lakh which was kept at home, along with Rs 1.50 lakh that he already had, Yadav said.
“He raised suspicion on a man who hails from the same village as the doctor. This man frequently visited his house, too. The doctor raised suspicion over the man’s involvement in the case as in the morning he (the suspect) had enquired from his wife about what time they would go to the clinic and when they would return,” the DCP said.
This person, who is known to the family, was taken into custody for questioning based on suspicion. The police arrested the accused after probing all possible angles in the case and analyzing available CCTV footage.
“However, when we cross-verified the sale, we found that the doctor had sold the plot for around ₹14 lakh of which only ₹5 lakh was given to him in cash. There are several other inconsistencies in his statements,” an officer informed HT.
Further investigation into the case is under process.
