Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, police in Hyderabad arrested a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) doctor for allegedly practising allopathy and treating patients without the required qualifications.

Following a tip-off, the police conducted a surprise raid at the clinic and took him into custody. During the inspection, officials reportedly found that he had been posing as a qualified allopathic doctor and treating patients illegally, reports Telangana Today.
Police have registered a case against the accused under various sections, and further investigation is underway to determine the extent of the illegal practice. The incident has once again raised concerns about unauthorised medical practitioners operating illegally and allegedly misleading patients by posing as qualified doctors.
In another similar incident reported earlier from Hyderabad’s Warasiguda area, police arrested a 42-year-old man for allegedly posing as a doctor and treating patients without any recognised medical qualifications. Investigators said the accused had been illegally treating patients for nearly a year by allegedly misusing the drug licence of an acquaintance.
