Sultanpur: In a tragic incident, a 35-year-old BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) doctor on his way to perform surgery on a patient was killed, while two others travelling with him sustained serious injuries after their car crashed into a bridge railing on the Ayodhya-Prayagraj highway, police said on Tuesday.
According to the PTI report, the accident took place late Monday night near the Dariyapur railway overbridge when the allegedly speeding car went out of control while overtaking, they said.

One of the doctors is in critical condition and has been referred to Lucknow, while the other surgeon is undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
According to the police, the three doctors had performed an operation at a private nursing home in Amahat and were on their way in a hurry to a hospital in Dariyapur to operate on another critically ill patient, reports PTI.
Circle Officer Raghavendra Singh said the body was sent for post-mortem.
His wife, two daughters and son are inconsolable following his death, said police.
