Bengaluru doctor found dead under mysterious circumstances

Bengaluru: In an unfortunate incident, a 29-year-old trainee doctor was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the washroom of Narayana Health City Hospital in Hebbagodi on Tuesday.

A case has been registered by the police and it is suspected that the doctor had committed suicide. However, the cause of her death will be determined after the release of the postmortem report.

The doctor, a 29-year-old woman was a native of Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu who was a trainee at the hospital. Similar to other days, the doctor went to work on May 16, however, she was missing for two hours while being on duty. Concerned about her whereabouts, her fellow doctors and hospital staff began searching for her.

Ultimately, she was found lying unconscious in the hospital toilet. It is suspected that the doctor had committed suicide by injecting harmful substances. Despite immediate treatment, she succumbed to her injuries and her death is suspicious, Kannada Prabha reports.

Following this, the hospital issued a statement regarding the case, "On May 16, a doctor was found unconscious in the hospital premises. She was immediately treated. However, he did not respond to treatment. The cause of death is not known. The police were informed about this. Police have registered a case and are investigating. We will fully respond to the investigation. Condolences to the deceased doctor's family."

Further, an investigation is under process.
