DNB Doctors demand postponement of final exams, grace marks for COVID service
Delhi: Demanding postponement of DNB final exams and grace marks for those who are serving in the COVID workforce, the Association of DNB doctors has recently written a letter to the Executive Director of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS), NBE.
In its letter, the association submitted various other grievances on the DNB exams and sought addressals by the authority on matters including better time-bound mechanism of answer sheet checking by hiring more examiners, the announcement of all theory results and at least 1 month time for the practicals, conduct theory examinations 4 times a year as well as modification of OSCE format.
Postponement of Exams
The final year DNB exams are supposed to take place from 24th to 27th August 2021. The association, a representative organization for more than 1 lakh doctors all around the world pointed out that many students have expressed their grievances regarding the exam schedule following which the association conducted a survey also where 70% of students voted in favour of postponing the exam by one to two months.
