The police found that the doctor's husband had taken the help of their driver to plan the murder of his wife over property disputes. The couple used to fight with each other over property and various other issues.
The 65-year-old doctor made plans with Janardhan (37) and decided to kill her on July 25th. On the day of the incident, the duo hid on the second floor of the house at around 5.55 pm. Janardhan entered the house and forcefully held the doctor from behind, after which the doctor came from the front and hit her on the head with a steel wrench used for oxygen cylinder tightening in the hospital.
The doctor kept hitting her till she passed away. The duo then came out of the backside of the house, and later sprinkled chilli powder over the dead body and in the hall to mislead the dog squad, reports the Deccan Chronicle.
They also stole the doctor's gold ornaments and hid the steel wrench used for the murder. At around 10.30 pm, the doctor filed a complaint with the police stating that unknown people came to their house, killed his wife and stole the gold ornaments.
However, the police found that they had lied. The police also found the gold which was hidden by the accused in a concealed chamber inside the hospital. The duo has been remanded to custody.
