Doctor commits suicide by shooting self
Saharanpur: A doctor allegedly shot himself while he was traveling with his wife to Dehradun near an eatery in Saharanpur on Saturday. The deceased was identified as a 60-year-old doctor, who was on their way from UP's Shamli to Dehradun, reports the Times of India.
According to the police, they had a house in Dehradun, where the doctor used to go often with his partner, who was also a doctor.

The Circle Officer (Sadar) Ajendra Yadav said, "On Saturday, the two were on their way to Doon to spend the weekend when they stopped at a restaurant. Singh's wife went to the washroom. When she came back, the duo had some discussion...The CCTV footage shows that the couple kept getting in and out of their car."
He then said that the doctor also received a few phone calls before the incident happened, which made him angry.
His spouse was reported to be standing a few meters away from him when the incident took place. The SSP Saharanpur told TOI, "His wife said she is unable to understand the reason behind the extreme step. He had told her that he was not feeling well...,".
According to a media report in the news18, the police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem, after he died on the spot. The police have begun the investigation. However, the police believe that he shot himself due to an alleged dispute between the husband and wife and the family. The brother-in-law of the doctor is also reported to have come to the spot at the time of the incident, whom the police have questioned.
The medical dialogues team had earlier reported a shooting incident where the police had arrested three persons who were associated with shooting a surgeon, who is also a director of a private medical college in Bareilly over an alleged land dispute case.
