Doctor, staff of private hospital in Bihar accused of beating gangster to death
Patna: In a shocking incident, a doctor and staff of a private hospital have been accused of beating a gangster to death over a petty dispute in Bihar’s Begusarai on Thursday.
The gangster's followers were infuriated by his death and claimed that the doctor and the hospital staff intentionally panned his demise using a precise strategy and a sharp instrument.
According to the police, the deceased had a history of criminal activities. They are currently investigating the number of FIRs filed against him and the specific police stations where these reports were lodged.

The deceased has been identified as Chandan Kumar Singh, a resident of Simaria under Chakia police station in the district.
The incident took place when the gangster accompanied a patient to the hospital in Rupnagar village for treatment but got into an argument with the doctor. Consequently, the gangster's followers accused the doctor and the staff of being responsible for the man's death.
“Chandan accompanied a patient to the Riya Nursing Home in Roop Nagar village. Chandan asked the nursing home employees to provide his patient with saline, but the latter refused. This led to a quarrel between them after which the hospital staff attacked him which led to his death,” said Yogendra Kumar, SP, Begusarai.
When the news about the lynching reached Chandan's village, a large number of villagers assembled outside the nursing home and set it on fire, following this, the police immediately rushed to the spot.
“We have brought the situation under control. The fire was doused with the help of firefighters and the local people. Chandan's body has been sent for post-mortem,” Kumar said.
