Doctors Demand high- level Probe into Mysterious Death of FMGE Aspirant, threaten protest

Investigation
New Delhi: In the wake of the tragic death of a 25-year-old Foreign Medical Graduate from Alwar, who was reportedly stabbed and then set on fire, the doctors have written to the Chief Minister of Haryana, demanding an immediate high-level and impartial investigation into the case. The association warned that if prompt action is not taken, they may be forced to launch protests or large-scale demonstrations.
Medical Dialogues had recently reported that the Alwar-based doctor died with severe burn injuries. While it is still unclear how the doctor got the injuries, the Rajasthan police have registered a murder case against a man from Rewari.
The doctor, who completed her medical degree from the Philippines and was preparing for the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), was supposed to be in Delhi for her education. However, she was mysteriously found in Haryana's Hisar with severe burn injuries.

After her mother was informed, Dr Bhawana Yadav, who hails from Alwar district, was taken to Jaipur, where she died during treatment on Thursday. The late doctor's mother filed a zero FIR in Jaipur and alleged that her daughter was first stabbed and then set on fire.
Meanwhile, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) in their letter demanded an immediate high-level and impartial investigation into her death, identification of the culprits and holding them accountable without delay, extending full support and protection to the victim’s family during the legal proceedings and taking urgent steps to ensure the safety and dignity of women doctors across Haryana and the country.
"With a profound sense of grief and deep concern that we, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA), write to bring to your urgent attention the tragic demise of Dr. Bhawana Yadav, a 25-year-old medical graduate from Alwar, Rajasthan, who sustained suspicious burn injuries and succumbed to her injuries under highly suspicious circumstances in Rewari district, Haryana.... Dr. Bhawana had sustained severe burn injuries, and her family has raised grave allegations of a brutal murder. This horrifying incident has sent shockwaves throughout the medical community across the nation. We are deeply disturbed not only by the nature of the incident but also by the fear it spreads among our young doctors and medical professionals who dedicate their lives to serving society." the letter read.
FAIMA has warned that if the government does not act quickly and seriously, the medical community may be forced to protest and take strong action. They say they are united and will not stay silent on rising violence against healthcare workers, especially women. "Failing to address this issue promptly may compel the medical fraternity to consider mass representation and protests to stand against the growing tide of violence and injustice faced by healthcare workers, especially women," it read.
“Let Dr. Bhawana not become just another name in a list of unaddressed tragedies,” FAIMA said in the letter, urging the system to act before it's too late.
