Doda doctor's Mysterious Death: Hundreds hold candlelight march demanding fair investigation

Jammu: Following the mysterious death of a young doctor, whose body was found under suspicious circumstances on April 20 in the Gandoh area of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, hundreds of people took out a candlelight march at the Bahu Fort area, demanding a fair investigation.
Demanding a thorough probe and justice for the deceased, the family has alleged foul play and questioned the circumstances surrounding his death. His body, however, was handed over to the family, news agency UNI reported.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that in a tragic incident, a 27-year-old doctor died after falling into a 300-foot deep gorge in the Bhalesa area of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday night, officials said. According to reports, the deceased has been a resident of Chacha Talab, located at Bahu Fort in Jammu.
The march, organised by the bereaved family, commenced from the doctor’s residence in the Bahu Fort area and culminated at Saryara Sabha as locals carried candles, raised slogans and sought justice. A large number of local residents joined the protest.

Senior BJP leader and State Vice President Rajeev Charak also joined the protest in solidarity with the family and called for a CBI probe.
Family members have rejected initial claims of an accidental fall, maintaining that the condition of the body suggested a possible conspiracy.
Bahu constituency MLA Vikram Randhawa also participated in the march and demanded a fair probe. He said the circumstances surrounding the death raised serious doubts and alleged attempts were being made to suppress the matter, reports DailyExcelsior.
The family also alleged that the doctor's mobile phone had been formatted and his social media accounts deactivated, further intensifying suspicion.
