Dr Kartikeya Kohli honoured with Phoenix Award at HealthAIcon 2026

New Delhi: Dr Kartikeya Kohli, an eminent Consultant in Internal Medicine with super-speciality training in Nephrology, was honoured with the prestigious Phoenix Award by Dr Abhijat Sheth, Chairman of the National Medical Commission (NMC), during HealthAIcon 2026 held on May 17, 2026, at Eros Hotel, New Delhi.
HealthAIcon 2026 was organised by Medical Dialogues and the National Medical Forum in collaboration with leading institutions, including Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), and Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone, bringing together key stakeholders from healthcare delivery, research, academia, and policy-making.
Dr Kohli currently serves as a Consultant in Internal Medicine at Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research and Apollo Clinic, Kailash Colony. Over the past, he has been associated with several renowned hospitals in Delhi, including Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj.
A graduate of Kasturba Medical College, Dr Kohli holds a DNB in Internal Medicine and underwent post-graduate super-speciality training in Nephrology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP-UK) in 2017 and obtained ECFMG Certification in 2011.
His additional academic qualifications include a PG Diploma in Clinical Endocrinology & Diabetes, Advanced Diabetes Care & Comorbidities, and Advanced Cardiology & ECG from the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Kohli has made significant contributions to medical academics and professional education. He has independently organised more than 35 Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes and authored over 200 medical articles for various medical bulletins and healthcare portals, including Medical Dialogues.
He has been actively associated with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) South Delhi Branch as Asset Secretary and Associate Editor, and with the Delhi Medical Association as an Executive Member. He has played a pivotal role in organising academic programmes and contributing educational content for professional medical newsletters. He is also associated with television and electronic media for conducting and presenting public health programmes.
An avid researcher and academician, Dr Kohli’s notable scholarly achievements include the poster presentation titled “One-year Outcome of Sensitized Kidney Transplant: A Single Centre Study” at ISNCON 2017, along with multiple dissertations and publications in nephrology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, and internal medicine journals.
