Dr Shubhika Srivastava appointed Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at RWJBarnabas Health
New Delhi: Dr Shubhika Srivastava, a distinguished pediatric cardiologist, joined RWJBarnabas Health on June 1, 2026, as the system's Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and Chair of Pediatric Cardiology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Centre.
Dr Srivastava holds an MD, FACC, FAAP, and FASE. She completed her MBBS at Lady Hardinge Medical College before pursuing her Pediatrics Residency Program and serving as Chief Resident at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in 1997. She later spent more than 19 years at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she served as an MD, Professor of Pediatrics, and Director of the Echocardiography and Fellowship Training Program from October 2000 to December 2019.
She has also served as Chief of Cardiology and Co-Director of the Cardiac Center at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware. She is also the co-Executive Director of the Center of Cardiovascular Research and Innovations and is internationally and nationally recognised for her expertise in fetal cardiology and advanced echocardiography.
She is a professor of paediatrics at Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Her work focuses on education and clinical outcomes research. She has over 75 publications and several book chapters and executive leadership roles in national societies – Fetal Heart Society, ACC, ASE, SOPE, etc.

Dr. Srivastava has played major leadership roles in national and international organisations, including the American Society of Echocardiography, the American College of Cardiology, the Fetal Heart Society, and the Society of Pediatric Cardiology Training Program Directors.
