Fake Ayurvedic Doctor allegedly steals woman's gold in Pochampally

Nalgonda: In a shocking incident, an unidentified man posing as an Ayurvedic doctor from Kerala allegedly cheated a woman of gold ornaments weighing four tolas at Pochampally in Yadadri-Bhongir district.
According to the complaint, the accused arrived at the couple's house on a motorcycle in Pochampally and introduced himself as an Ayurvedic practitioner offering infertility treatment. He reportedly gained their confidence by claiming he could help them conceive.

Believing his claims, the woman removed her gold jewellery weighing about four tolas and kept it in the house. However, when she returned after the bath, the accused had reportedly fled with the ornaments.
Based on her complaint, Pochampally police registered a case and launched an investigation. Officers said CCTV footage from the surrounding area was being examined to identify and trace the suspect, reports the Deccan Chronicle.
The incident adds to a series of cases in which individuals posing as doctors have cheated unsuspecting victims.
