Female PG Radiology student hangs self at LLRM Medical College hostel
Meerut: A 28-year-old medico at LLRM Medical College in Meerut has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in the hostel room.
The deceased was a post-graduate (PG) diploma student in radiology at the college and a resident of Prayagarj. She completed her medical examination on Monday and went to work after returning home. On Tuesday, the deceased's husband called her multiple times and after not receiving any response, he called her colleagues and asked them to check on her.
Upon getting the call, the colleagues informed other hostel members to check for her and the hostellers went to her room and found that her door was locked from the inside. After getting no response, they broke the door and found her hanging from the ceiling.
However, police rushed to the spot after getting the news. The medico was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. The incident happened on Tuesday night.
Medical college police station SHO Sant Singh told HT that "We have sent the body for post-mortem. The cause of the suicide has not yet been determined. After the post-mortem, her family members will receive the body. Further investigations are underway into this incident."

Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased have not lodged any complaints yet with the Meerut police. A case has been registered under Section 174 (Police to enquire and report on suicide) and the reason behind her suicide will be unveiled soon.
Her death has shocked her colleagues as well and they are in no position to comment on the situation.
