Jamnagar: A first-year PG medical student allegedly committed suicide by injecting himself with excessive dose of anesthesia in his hostel room on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as a 26-year-old medico hailing from Rajkot, who was pursuing his post-graduation at the Department of Anesthesia in MP Shah Medical College in Jamnagar.
As per a recent media report in the Times of India, the PG medico was spotted lying dead on his bed in Room 608 of the college's PG hostel. Initial investigation suggested that the student might have committed suicide by injecting himself with a heavy dose of anesthesia.
However, police are awaiting autopsy report to determine the exact cause of his death.
