Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about the Goa government's initiative to set up Jan Aushadi counters mandatorily at all pharmacies in the state to ensure that high-quality generic medicines are available to every section of society. The announcement was made by state Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on the occasion of Jan Aushadi day. The minister said that the health department’s circular would be implemented and monitored by the director of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Goa. Further, he added that the move would ensure that high-quality generic medicines are available to every section of society, and pharmacies across the state would have to abide by this.
