Heroic: Woman doctor saves 60-year-old man by performing CPR at Delhi Airport
New Delhi: A doctor is being hailed as a hero after her quick intervention and timely Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) saved a 60-year-old man who suffered a heart attack at Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 2. A video of the doctor's heroic efforts went viral on social media, drawing admiration from the public.
The video shared by a user named Rishi Bagree on social media showed the woman reported to be a doctor performing CPR on the man lying on the ground unconscious at the airport.
The user uploaded two short clips of the incident. In the first clip, the doctor could be seen vigorously performing chest compressions and calling for airport staff. Then in the second clip, the man regained his consciousness and the doctor could be seen unbuttoning the man's shirt for better air flow.

According to the user, the doctor saved the man's life within 5 minutes of performing the CPR. Sharing the video on 'X', Rishi said, "Today at T2 Delhi Airport, a gentleman in his late 60s had a heart attack in the food court area. This lady Doctor revived him in 5 mins. Super proud of Indian doctors. Please share this so that she can be acknowledged."
As per ABP news report, the man after regaining consciousness was later taken to a hospital by airport authorities for further medical treatment.

The netizens feeling proud of the doctor praised her for her quick response to the situation and her heroic effort to save the man.
"Salute to the doctor! Every Indian should learn how to do CPR. In Germany it’s part of the first aid course which is a mandatory step to get a driving license," a user said in the comment section.
"That's incredible news! Kudos to the lady doctor who acted swiftly and revived the gentleman within just 5 minutes. Proud of our doctors for their dedication and life-saving skills!" said another user.

For the Doctor it might be a routine affair, but for the patient it was a miraculous revival,"; "That women literally snatched uncle’s soul from Yamraj. Super Proud of her,"; "It's so gratifying that people step up to help in emergencies. Salute to the culture. Thank you doctor,"- are some of the responses from the users admiring the doctor.
Calling the need to learn basic CPR techniques, a user said, "It is high time our population is trained on basic CPR techniques with the increasing number of cardiac arrest incidents. Also airports and other prominent public places should have defibrillators (AEDs). He was saved in nick of time due to presence of a doctor but this is not always the case!"
