Homeopathy Practitioners Performing Allopathic Procedures Including Aesthetic Surgeries, Doctors Demand Investigation, Strict Actions
Jind: Highlighting how a homeopathic practitioner in Jind was performing allopathic procedures including aesthetic surgeries such as Botox, Fillers etc., the Doctors have urged the Haryana Government authorities to conduct immediate investigations and take strict action against the homeopathic doctor in question.
On its X (formerly Twitter) handle, the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA) shared a video of a signboard of a clinic run by one Dr ***Bhardwaj, who allegedly has a BHMS degree from PGIMS Rohtak and who is the founder and CEO of Ayushman Homeopathic Clinic. Hair and Skin Services offered by the clinic include Meso Therapy, Clearlift, Clearskin, Aqua Infusion, Oxygeneo, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Hair Mesotherapy, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), Botox, Fillers, Thread lift, Mole Removal, Tatoo Removal, Wart Removal, laser Hair Reduction etc.
Sharing the video, UDFA wrote in the X post, "Homeopathy practitioners performing allopathic treatments or critical procedures is illegal & dangerous! We demand urgent investigations & strict action to protect patient lives. No compromises on medical ethics."

Commenting on the matter, the General Secretary of UDFA, Dr. Arun Kumar told Medical Dialogues, "The video is from Jind Haryana, where homeopathy doctors are mentioning that they are practicing dermatology, which is not allowed. Homeopathy practitioners can definitely treat patients in their own system of medicines. But how can they practice allopathy? Have they studied these things? This is a crime."
"We have also raised the issue before the Chief Medical officer in Harana. We want to know when this hospital was registered, who gave permission to these practitioners to practice allopathy and who will be held responsible if something happens to the patients," he added.
Further mentioning that the National Medical Commission (NMC) should also take cognisance of these instances and draft a policy regarding this, Dr. Kumar added, "The authorities also need to find out if there is any dermatologist in this clinic and if yes, whether the doctor is only there as a signatory without conducting these procedures by himself. In such cases, action should be taken against the allopathic practitioner also. We, on behalf of UDFA, want a quack-free India."
UDFA General Secretary Dr. Kumar along with the Founder and Chairman of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) Dr Manish Jangra wrote to the Chief Medical Officer of Civil Hospital Jind in this regard.
They pointed out how lots of BAMS/BHMS/RMP are openly prescribing Allopathic Medicines in their clinic & hospital. The doctors highlighted that as per the current guidelines of NMC & Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) Ayurvedic practitioners are expected to practice Ayurveda and not prescribe Allopathic Medicines.
Therefore, the doctors urged the CMO to clarify if the Ayurvedic Practitioners were authorised to prescribe Allopathic medicines under the existing laws and regulations. If such permission existed, the doctors urged the CMO to share the details. Finally, the doctors urged the CMO to clarify regarding the legal boundaries with who the Ayurveda doctors in Haryana should practice and ensure that they comply with National/State law.
