Hyderabad: 31-year-old commits suicide in lodge, police suspects drug overdose
Hyderabad: A 31-year-old doctor has committed suicide in a lodge at Afzalgunj in Hyderabad. The reason behind his suicide is yet to be determined.
The deceased has been identified as K Anil Kumar, a resident of Peddapuram in the East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh.
Anil recently completed his MBBS from Mamatha Medical College in Khammam. Just like any other time he went to visit his relatives, he came here four days ago. After he reached the city, instead of staying at his relative's house, he booked a room at the Pearl City Lodge in Afzalgunj and stayed the night.

In the morning, the next day when the lodged staff went to his room to give him his breakfast, the door was locked from inside. They called him but he was not responding. Unable to break the door and after getting suspicious, the lodge staff called the police.
Upon the arrival of the police, the door was broken by one of the police officers. When the police entered the room, they found Anil's body lying on the bed dead. Police suspect that he died due to a drug overdose.
M Ravindar Reddy, Inspector of Afzalgunj said that he found medicines lying beside Anil's dead body, as a result, he suspects that Anil might have consumed the pills to end his life. He also suspects that the reason behind his suicide could be personal issues. "While the reason for the alleged suicide is not known, we suspect he took the extreme step due to personal issues," he said.
