Illegal clinic busted in Hyderabad, Quack arrested
Hyderabad: In its ongoing investigation to crackdown quacks in Telangana, the Central task force recently nabbed a 53-year-old man for allegedly treating patients and running a fake clinic in Amberpet without a valid medical degree.
Posing as a fake doctor, he was found running a private clinic in Amberpet where he duped several patients by falsely claiming to have diplomas in naturopathy and yoga as well as emergency medicine.

According to the Siasat Daily news report, the accused gained knowledge of Ayurvedic and General medicine while working in various clinics. Based on the acquired knowledge, he opened his clinic illegally and treated the patients fraudulently.
Using a false letter pad with the name ‘Dr A Raju, D.NYS, P.G.D.EM.S. (Mumbai)’, the accused obtained money illegally through false treatment of the patients. He allegedly endangered the lives of innocent patients by assessing their health and prescribing medications without sufficient diagnosis reports and a valid medical board license.
Based on a tip-off, the central Zone Task Force team under the supervision of IPS Rashmi Perumal, Inspector of Police, Superintendent N. Nagesh, and other officials raided the clinic and caught the doctor red-handed. During the search, Inspector N Rama Krishna who led the operation found various medical items and seized them following his arrest.
The team seized Dispo Van injections - 20, syringes - 15, sterile water bottles for injections - 03, Nebulizer Machines - 2, Prescription Books - 8, Stethoscope - 1, Weighing Machine - 1, Pulse Oximeter - 1, Digital fever check meter, Multivitamin injections and Tablets, and net cash of Rs. 1,200 as reported by Newstap.
Following the recovery of the medical items, the team handed over the evidence and crucial documents to the SHO of Amberpet police station for further necessary action.
Acting on this, the Amberpet police registered a case under sections 419 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused who had a previous record of similar offence in 2023. An investigation into the current case is underway.
Providing details regarding the incident, Inspector N. Rama Krishna told Newsmeter, “The apprehension of individuals like him reaffirms our dedication to safeguarding the public from fraudulent activities that endanger lives. We commend the swift action taken by our Task Force team in ensuring that such individuals face the consequences of their actions.”
