Indore: Doctor having medical degree from Pakistan arrested in fake medical certificate case
Indore: A lady doctor based in Indore has recently been arrested by Tejaji Nagar Police in connection with a fake medical certificate case in the Regional Transport Office (RTO).
Apart from arresting the doctor police have also confiscated the fake medical certificates bearing the seal of the concerned medical professional, Dr. Bhatia.
After investigating the background of the doctor, the Police have come to know that the doctor has a medical degree from Karachi, Pakistan. Besides the Police is also checking the background of the doctor to find out if the medical degrees owned by the doctor were authentic or fake.
This comes after the Police on Friday detained a total number of seven RTO agents for preparing fake medical certificates for renewing driving licences. However, one of the accused is still on the run and the Police are searching for him.

Speaking about the matter, the ACP of Azad Nagar, MU Rehman told Free Press Journal that the police had received information that claimed that some RTO agents were indulging in preparing fake medical certificates for renewing licences. After verifying the information, the officials raided the shops of the agents near RTO and detained altogether seven agents.
Until now, police have recovered altogether 15 fake certificates from the accused and as per the police they had been preparing the fake medical certificates for the last six months. Reportedly, the accused used to make fake certificates for those who approached the RTO office for renewing their licences. All the accused have been booked under sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 474, and 120-B of the IPC.
While probing the case, the Police arrested Dr. Bhatia on Monday and also confiscated the fake medical certificates that had Dr. Bhatia's seal on them. After completing her medical education in Pakistan, currently the lady doctor works at a private clinic on airport road.
Speaking about this development, SI Sharma told FPJ, "The accused Dr Bhatia was born and brought up in Pakistan and from there she completed her medical degree. After her marriage she came to India and continued her practice privately."
