Indore: A tragic incident claimed the life of a 59-year-old doctor after his car rammed into another vehicle from behind which was waiting at a traffic signal near Rasoma Square, causing severe injuries to the doctor.
According to eyewitnesses, the doctor suffered severe impact which caused his chest to hit the steering wheel due to which he got critically injured. Although he was rushed for treatment, he could not survive and died.
The doctor has been identified as Dr Mukesh Tiwari, a resident of Shalimar Township. According to a Free Press Journal news report, the doctor was returning home from a salon when his car lost balance, accelerated, and crashed into a stationary vehicle at the signal around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
After locals witnessed the accident, they informed the police who rushed to the spot. During preliminary investigation, it was found that due to the intense impact from the accident, the front portion of his car was badly damaged and Dr Tiwari sustained critical chest injuries after hitting the steering wheel.
According to the police, the doctor is believed to have pressed the accelerator instead of the brake which caused the accident. Two people in the car sustained minor injuries.
