Indore doctor, wife receive threats from Pakistan, probe on
Indore: A disturbing incident involving cross-border threats has come to light in Indore, Madhya Pradesh where a doctor and his wife, a software developer are facing a constant series of intimidation from a person claiming involvement in the Mumbai bomb blast. These threats are reported to be coming from Pakistan and various other international countries. In response, the couple filed a complaint with the Crime Branch.
Apart from receiving threats, the couple stated that the person harassing them had threatened to be planning a significant event in Indore on January 26. Following this, the Crime Branch has started investigating the case with the help of the technical team and efforts are underway to identify the accused.

The incident started when the doctor’s wife, who runs an IT company, declined a client’s request to integrate a Chinese payment gateway into a website which is believed to have triggered the client. After the denial, the client created a fake ID of the doctor and started threatening them. The threats included defaming the couple and intimidating their employees.
"I met a person through an online portal and he had placed an order for making gaming software but the person placing the order had to go through various processors. Due to this when he did not provide us the ID, we stopped giving him his order. From then onwards, the series of threats started," said the doctor, TV9 reports.
In one of the most chilling scenarios, the accused reportedly claimed to be involved in the Mumbai bomb blast and made threatening calls to the doctor. To scare the doctor even more, the accused threatened to do something on January 26.
Following the intensified threats from the accused, the couple approached the Crime Branch, Indore and filed a complaint. The department has registered a case and an investigation is underway. The police have maintained the possibility of international connection and have taken the matter seriously.
