The police said that the neighbors of the doctor had informed the police that he was lying unconscious on the bed in one of the rooms on the first floor of his house. As per a media report in the Times Now, the doctor wrote in the suicide note that he is ending his life and doesn't anyone to be troubled with after his death.
Ramkishan Bishnoi, circle inspector, Chitrakoot police station said, "His father had gone out of town while his mother too was away. He had been living separately from his wife for a long time. On Monday, when the domestic help came, she saw no activity and went upstairs. She found the doctor unconscious with an intervenous drip. She raised an alarm."
Stating that the police found an intravenous dose of heavy sedatives after they reached the spot, the circle inspector further added, "We have also found a suicide note from the spot which is under examination. In the note, the doctor said nobody was responsible for his death and nobody should be questioned." The forensic team also reached the spot and collected the evidence.
Richa Tomar, deputy commissioner of police (West) told TOI, "Prima facie it appears to be a clear case of suicide and no foul play involved. Even his family has maintained that he was quite disturbed emotionally for a long time. However, we are also probing other angles to know the reasons behind his death.."
