J&K: 20-year-old MBBS student drowns in Kupwara
Kupwara: In an unfortunate incident, a 20-year-old MBBS student is believed to have drowned in a pond at Vilgam Kupwara, which was retrieved after hours of hectic efforts by police and locals.
The police on Sunday retrieved a 20-year-old MBBS student's dead body which was gone missing while bathing inside a pond at Vilgam Kupwara on the same day at noon.
The deceased has been identified as Shahid Amin Beigh son of Mohammad Amin Beigh.
After searching for hours, the police, locals and the family members of the deceased finally saw the body being recovered from the pond.

An official told Rising Kashmir that at least three boys went untraceable inside a pond in Punzwa village of Villgam on Sunday afternoon while they were bathing in the water source. "It happened that after a certain time, two among the three boys waded their way through and came out safely, with the police and locals launching a rescue operation with bare minimum logistics available to save the third youth."
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that a doctor from Kulgam district has died in a road accident who was on his way home. The doctor was killed when his car skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district. The accident took place near Sangaldan town.

The deceased has been identified as Dr Muzaffar Ahmed Wani, a resident of Kulgam district, the officials said. Wani was on the way to home in Mahore, Kulgam, where he was posted as a medical officer.
