J&K Govt issues transfer orders of 25 doctors
Srinagar: In an order dated 17th April 2023, the Jammu and Kashmir government issued directions for the transfer of 25 doctors in various parts of the state with immediate effect.
The order stated, "In the interest of administration and patient care, the following transfers/postings are hereby ordered with immediate effect."

"However the aforesaid arrangement shall be purely on temporary basis and subject to the outcome of writ petition(s), if any, pending before the court(s) of law and shall not confer any right upon the officer(s) to claim preferential treatment at the time of formal placement/ promotion/ regularization which shall be made strictly in accordance with the rules," the order added.
The transferred doctors have been identified as Dr Bhanu Pathania, Dr Fahmeeda Banday, Dr Ambica Sachdev, Dr Sanjay Kumar Bhat, Dr Rashmi Sharma, Dr Virender Trisal, Dr Balkari Lal, Dr Anil Sharma, Dr Sushma Matto, Dr Suresh Kumar Sarmal, Dr Pervaiz Ahmed Khan, Dr. Rabia Parveen Khan, Dr. Anu Saloch, Dr Raj Kumari, Dr Anju Bala, Dr Bashir Ahmed Targwal, Dr Uttam Chand, Dr Yudhvir Singh, Dr Safeena Begum, Dr Syed Ishrat Bukhari, Dr Harbinder Singh, Dr Saima Agoo, Dr Meenakshi Kumari, Dr Anuja Amla, and Dr Mohd. Ashfaq.
The order was signed by Bhupinder Kumar, Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education Department.
Meanwhile, in another order dated the same day, 17th April 2023, the Health and Medical Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir issued the transfer of 3 more doctors. The three medical officers, Dr Mohd Ayub Fateh Khan, Dr Malik Abid Hussain, and Dr Mohd Iqbal Sofi, quoted the order signed by Kumar. However, the order stated that their transfers would be cancelled if the government receives any adverse report about their vigilance clearance.
