Mangaluru: Missing for almost five days now, the Dean of Father Muller College of Allied Health Sciences has not been traced yet. The Mangaluru South police have registered a missing complaint, and an investigation is underway.
Dr Urban John Arnold D'Souza was reported missing from his house in Valencia on Sunday, 25 September. As per PTI reports, Dr Urbun D'Souza had told his wife that he was going to a nearby shop and left home on his two-wheeler late on Sunday night.
He has been missing since then and later his mobile phone was also found to be switched off. A missing complaint has been filed at Mangaluru South police station. Police said his mobile phone location was last traced to a place near Ullal beach.

He was appointed Dean of Allied Health Sciences at the private medical college in December 2021. He completed his Masters in Medical Physiology degree from Kasturba Medical College Mangalore and a doctorate from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal. Earning his MS degree later and was bestowed with the Fellow of Royal Society, London, in the year 2018. He also achieved a certificate course in Medical Education from John Hopkins, USA. His vast experience and administrative acumen were the reason the Governing Board of the FMCI sought it befitting to install him as the chair of Dean.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the medical students of North Bengal Medical College & Hospital (NBMCH) had staged a protest demanding the college authorities be more proactive in tracing a third-year MBBS student who went missing as there is no news of him so far. The third-year student was the 23-year-old Raunak Paul, who came from Tufanganj in the Cooch Behar district.
