Kozhikode female doctor jumps to death from 12th floor of apartment, cops suspect depression
Kozhikode: In an unfortunate incident, a 25-year-old female doctor ended her life by jumping from the 12th floor of an apartment complex in Kozhikode in the early hours of Friday.
Although the reason for her suicide is yet to be determined, police suspect that she had committed suicide due to her depression.
It has been reported that she was under treatment for depression.

The doctor was a native of Thalassery in Kannur. The incident took place on Friday at around 4 am.
The apartment from which she jumped belongs to her friend. The deceased was invited to her friend’s birthday. Therefore, the deceased doctor had come to the house to take part in a birthday celebration of her friend, who was her classmate during the MBBS course.
However, in the wee hours of Friday, she decided to take her life by jumping from the 12th floor of Leo Paradise apartment on PT Usha road, TOI reports.
Her body was discovered by the security personnel of the apa,rtment who rushed to the spot on hearing the sound and saw her lying dead. She was rushed to Kozhikode Medical College but was declared brought dead.
Following this, the police were informed and upon reaching the spot they conducted an inquest.
A case has been registered under section 174 (Police to enquire and report on suicide) of CrPC.
