Ludhiana: CMCH Physiotherapy student ends life, apologizes to parents in suicide note
Ludhiana: Struggling with studies, a final year medico studying physiotherapy at Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) committed suicide by hanging self from the ceiling fan at her PG in Issa Nagar, near Calvary Church.
The medico, aged 22, has been identified as Jyoti Malika Singh, a native of Hoshiarpur who struggled with her studies, which led her to take this extreme step.
After police were informed of the incident, they found a suicide note revealing that she was suffering from depression and struggling in her studies. It was mentioned that she was taking this step because she was not doing well in her studies. She also apologized to her parents for not being a good student in the note. She never expressed her thoughts to anyone, therefore her friends and family were shocked to discover the incident.

The letter was addressed to her father, who is a school principal in Lucknow. Her parents immediately reached her PG from Lucknow after the police informed them.
She was first discovered hanging from the ceiling fan by her friends on Friday. They immediately informed the police.
Inspector Sukhdev Brar, SHO division number 3 police station, said, "The suicide note was shown to the father, who told that the woman never shared anything with her family about her studies not going well. She wrote in the note that she was not doing well in her studies and apologised to her parents. Her friends and teachers told her that she recently got compartment in an exam following which she was upset."
Sukhdev Brar said that the police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC, and the body has been sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem, The Indian Express reports.
