MBBS intern found dead in hotel, probe on
Dehradun: In an unfortunate incident, a woman doctor working as an MBBS intern at the Himalayan Hospital in Dehradun was found dead in a hotel at EC Road on Saturday, where she had gone to celebrate her birthday along with her four friends.
The doctor has been identified as 23-year-old native of the Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh. She had checked into the hotel on Friday for her birthday celebrations along with four of her friends, three of whom were her college mates in medical school, while the fourth friend had come from Gurgaon for the party.
According to the statement given by her friends to the police, they all were partying till late at night, however, the medico was found dead after they woke up in the morning.

According to a recent media report in Times of India, the father of the deceased doctor works at Bhubaneswar in Odisha.
Commenting on the case, the SHO, Dalanwala Police Station, Nandkishor Bhatt told TOI, "The body was handed over to the bereaved family. We have preserved the viscera for detailed study of reasons behind the woman's death, as no injuries were found on the body."
He added that an investigation has been launched into the case and the deceased doctor's family members would also be interrogated following the completion of her funeral rites by them in Haridwar.
The daily further added that the officials of the Himalayan Hospital could not be contacted in spite of their repeated attempts.
