MBBS student Booked for allegedly hurling abuses at Doon Hospital's HoD Gynaecology over attendance issue
Dehradun: A 3rd-year MBBS student has recently been booked for allegedly misbehaving with the HoD Gynaecology of Doon Hospital. The medico was reportedly furious over a notice issued to him over low attendance.
According to the TOI report, the student allegedly entered the office of the Head of the Department of Gynaecology and hurled abuses at the Professor. He also allegedly abused and assaulted the security assistants when they rushed to the HoD's office.
The incident was reported to the police and the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Anurag Agrawal lodged a police complaint against the accused student.

As per the latest media report by the Times of India, the student was booked by police on the charges of "intentional insult, using offensive words to insult modesty of a woman and physical assault". The Medical Superintendent Dr. Agrawal further alleged that the accused medico "was involved in such acts earlier as well."
Commenting on the matter, one of the doctors from the hospital, who was aware of the incident informed the Daily that the accused student entered the HoD's office and "hurled abuses at her over a notice issued to him for low attendance. Hearing the commotion, when security assistants rushed to her office to stop him, they were also abused, and some of them were even assaulted."
The matter is now being investigated by police. Speaking to TOI, the officer in charge of the investigation, Assistant Sub-Inspector Gopal Singh Bisht said, "A probe has been initiated during which all those involved in the case would be questioned. Nobody has been detained so far."
Amar Ujala has reported that the incident in question took place on Friday. Commenting on the matter, Inspector Kailash Chandra Bhatt informed the Daily that a case has been registered against the accused student and the CCTV footage of the hospital is being collected to investigate the matter.
