Medical Officer Transferred in JnK
Srinagar: With an aim at improving healthcare administration and patient care, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, through the Health & Medical Education Department, has issued Government Order No. 806-JK (HME) of 2023, dated October 3, 2023, to transfer and post two Medical Officers with immediate effect.
Dr. Shahid Hussain Ahangar, currently serving as a Medical Officer at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara, and Dr. Sheikh Junaid, who is posted at District Hospital (DH) Budgam, will now assume new roles. Dr. Shahid Hussain Ahangar has been transferred to DH Budgam, while Dr. Sheikh Junaid will take up his duties at SDH Kupwara.
The Government Order also states that both Dr. Shahid Hussain Ahangar and Dr. Sheikh Junaid shall be considered relieved from their current place of postings with immediate effect.

Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education Department, Mr. Bhupinder Kumar, expressed confidence that these transfers would contribute positively to healthcare delivery in the respective areas.
The order has been communicated to relevant authorities, including the Principal Secretary to the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor and the Director of Health Services in Kashmir, among others, for necessary action and compliance.
