The deceased has been identified as a resident of Balasinor in Mahisagar district who was pursuing his medical education in the Philippines. As the medical college in the Philippines was closed, he had returned to his native town.
The body of the deceased was finally found on Thursday in the Sanadara siphon of the canal. Even his motorcycle was found near the canal with a heavy flow of water.
