Medico records video message, commits suicide by jumping into Narmada Canal
Vadodara: A Gujarat-based medical student allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the Narmada canal near Galteshwar village on Wednesday. However, before killing himself, the medico recorded a video and sent it to his friends stating that he was betrayed in love.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Balasinor in Mahisagar district who was pursuing his medical education in the Philippines. As the medical college in the Philippines was closed, he had returned to his native town.
Times of India reports that in the video, the medico stated that he truly loved a person but she betrayed him. He also mentioned that the person whom he loved was in a romantic relationship with someone else for the past 1 year; however, she concealed the fact from him. The medico felt heartbroken at the betrayal.
The body of the deceased was finally found on Thursday in the Sanadara siphon of the canal. Even his motorcycle was found near the canal with a heavy flow of water.
A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Sevaliya police station. The sudden demise of the young medico has brought grief into the medical community.
A similar incident happened in Telangana a few days ago where a first-year MBBS student of Government Medical College in Siddipet allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his hostel room and a suicide note was secured from his room where he mentioned that rejection in love forced him to take the extreme step.
