MP Govt doctors save road accident victim with timely CPR during holiday trip
Bhopal: A team of government doctors travelling to Pachmarhi for a two-day holiday saved the life of a road accident victim by giving timely cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) after he stopped breathing following a motorcycle crash in Madhya Pradesh's Raisen district.
The accident took place on Friday evening on the Bhopal-Jabalpur highway, around five kilometres from Bareli town. According to reports, two motorcycles collided head-on at high speed. One of the riders suffered serious injuries and stopped breathing soon after the accident.
The doctors, posted at Begamganj Civil Hospital, were passing through the area when they noticed the injured man lying on the road; they immediately stopped their vehicle and rushed to assist him.
Realising that the victim was not breathing, one of the doctors immediately started CPR at the accident site. The doctors continued chest compressions for several minutes without waiting for an ambulance. Their prompt response helped the victim regain spontaneous breathing, giving him a better chance of survival before he could receive advanced medical care.
According to reports, the team of doctors, led by block medical officer (BMO) Nitin Tomar, along with Aman Sen, Abhishek Sahu and Chandramohan Gurjar, stopped their vehicle after spotting the man lying critically injured on the road, sources said.

After reviving him, the doctors shifted the injured man to the nearest hospital in their own vehicle so that treatment could begin without any further delay. He was undergoing treatment at the time of reporting.
According to The Times of India, the doctors were travelling to Pachmarhi when they came across the accident. They stopped immediately, performed CPR after the victim stopped breathing, and later transported him to the nearest hospital in their own vehicle instead of waiting for an ambulance.
