Police have registered a case against a doctor in Navi Mumbai for allegedly abusing a businessman after the latter sought payment for the installation of CCTVs done by him at the doctor's hospital, an official said on Thursday.
The incident took place on Wednesday when the 35-year-old victim went to the private hospital in the Koparkhairne area of Navi Mumbai to collect the payment, he said.

The doctor allegedly refused to pay the bill for the work done and also abused the victim, the official from Koparkhairne police station said.
Based on the victim's complaint, an FIR was registered against the doctor under Indian Penal Code sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), the official said, adding a probe was on into the case.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that two doctors along with a dozen medical students were booked for allegedly attacking an advocate at the Pratapgarh government medical college in Uttar Pradesh, police said. SHO Kotwali police station Satyendra Singh said, "Shashikant, an advocate, in a police complaint, has alleged that he was attacked and roughed up by two doctors of the government medical college on Tuesday. Over a dozen medical students also sided with the doctors and attacked him." A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, in which two groups entered into a brawl during OPD registration at the hospital. The incident occurred after an argument between the health facility's staff and Sashikant, who had gone there with a relative.
