Newborn dies after doctor allegedly slashes genitals during c-section
Davanagere: The family members of a newborn who tragically died from injuries after a doctor allegedly cut off his genitals during a Caesarean delivery in Davanagere district, Karnataka, have accused the doctor of medical negligence.
The newborn died at Chigateri District Hospital on June 17 when Amrutha was admitted for delivery. As she could not have a normal delivery, the doctor decided to perform a C-section.
The child's relatives protested outside Chigateri District Hospital, demanding accountability and action against the erring doctor.

According to an IANS report, Amrutha and her husband Arjun alleged that doctor Nijamuddin allegedly cut the baby's private part while operating on the mother.
The parents alleged that their newborn died due to medical negligence.
As the newborn's condition deteriorated, he was rushed to a private hospital where he died, news agency IANS reported.
