Odisha retired doctor found dead at his residence
Keonjhar: In an unfortunate incident, a retired doctor's decomposed body was recovered on Wednesday by the Odisha police from his room in the Keonjhar district of Odisha.
The deceased was a retired doctor who was found dead inside a locked room. He was living in Keonjhar under the Sadar police station limits.
Police broke open the house and recovered the doctor's body after it was informed that a foul smell emanated from the house. After recovering the body, the police sent it for autopsy.
The reason behind the doctor's death is not yet known and an investigation is underway. The cause of the death would be known only after the post-mortem.

Since he was living alone in the house, he did not leave the house for two days.
According to a media report in Kalinga TV, the door was locked from inside for the past two days which made the neighbours suspicious and they alerted the police. The police after reaching the spot, conducted a preliminary examination.
No suicide note was discovered on the site. After recovering the body, a case has been registered and the police have launched an investigation into the case.
