Pune Shocker: Woman doctor found murdered inside flat, husband suspected
Pune: In a horrifying incident, a woman doctor attached to a government hospital in Pune was found murdered at her residence in Moshi on Monday morning with injuries inflicted with a sharp weapon and also a blunt object.
As per various media accounts, a search has been launched for the doctor's husband, who is suspected to have killed his wife and left her body inside their locked house until the police found it on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as a 32-year-old doctor who worked at Naidu Hospital. She got married a couple of years ago to the man, posted as talathi, a revenue department official, for a cluster of villages in Junnar.
On Monday morning, a few friends of the deceased called up the police after the doctor did not respond to their calls while the door of her flat remained locked from the outside.
On reaching, the police opened their flat with a duplicate key, where the dead body of the doctor was found. The body was found in the bedroom of the 9th floor flat in Utopia society in Borhadewadi area of Moshi, Pune.

The doctor had head injuries, suspected to have been caused with a hammer and wounds suspected to have been caused with a sharp knife, according to the police. It has been further suspected that the murder might have taken place between 11.30pm on Saturday and 11.50am on Monday when the body was discovered, reports HT.
Although the reason behind the murder remains unclear, the police suspect the husband, who's location is, at present, not known.
According to the police, Vijaykumar Salve, the husband, left a self-incriminating note in the house before going on the run. Inspector Shivaji Gaware of Bhosari MIDC police station told The Indian Express, "We have launched a search for the husband."
A case under Section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code was registered at MIDC Bhosari police station.
