Resident doctor shot by unknown assailants outside RTR Memorial Hospital
Dwarka: A resident doctor associated with Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital located in Jaffarpur Kalan area was shot in the face outside the hospital building in Dwarka by unknown people on Monday night. while he was standing outside, unknown people came in a car, shot him and fled immediately, reports the Indian Express.

The police stated that they got a PCR call around 9 PM in connection with the incident. The incident happened when the doctor was standing near the emergency department and a group of unknown people parked their car near the building. They got out and began firing at him, following which one of the bullets hit him.
According to the police, the accused knew the doctor and he was attacked over 'personal enmity'. The local people in the region attempted to stop the assailants, but they immediately got into the car and fled. As per sources, the hospital guards closed down the main gate, but the accused didn't stop the car and sped away.
The doctor is receiving treatment at a private hospital. He was initially admitted to RTR hospital and eventually shifted to another private one. The accused are still absconding, and no arrests have been made yet. The police have not been able to take his statement yet because of his condition.
As per the media report in the Indian Express, a tweet was posted by the Delhi police on Tuesday over the incident stating, "An incident of firing upon a resident doctor has been reported from RTR Hospital, JP Kalan. The victim is undergoing treatment at hospital & is stable. A case under attempt to murder & Arms Act has been registered & multiple teams formed to nab the culprits."
Th FAIMA doctor's association expressed their concern about the violence against doctor over a tweet, urging the Delhi police to look into the incident immediately and arrest the culprits.
